Sweden Day 10 – Dancing, BBQs and Birthday Surprises

Today was one of the most enjoyable days of this entire experience. We started our morning on a positive note by dancing with the Swedish students and doing a bit of exercise together. It was such a simple activity, but it brought all of us closer and set a great tone for the rest of the day.

After that, we continued working on our presentations and projects. Surprisingly, we were super productive and managed to get a lot done. It did get a little tiring at times, but the short breaks in between helped us recharge and keep going.

The excitement didn’t stop there because we had a special plan for Shreyas’s birthday. We went out to buy decorations like balloons, poppers, and other fun items to surprise him later. Right after school, all of us headed to the lakeside at Bredsand. Almost everyone from our group was there, which made the evening even more special.

We had a BBQ planned, and the food was amazing. Hot, fresh hot dogs in the chilly weather just hit differently. For dessert, we made s’mores and roasted marshmallows, which was honestly one of the best parts of the day. It felt like we were enjoying warmth in the middle of the cold, making it such a cozy and memorable experience.

Later in the evening, we returned to our rooms and immediately got to work. We cleaned everything properly and started decorating for the surprise. Some of us were blowing up balloons, others were putting up the birthday banner, and of course, we had music playing in the background. All this while making sure Shreyas had absolutely no idea what was going on.

It was the perfect mix of fun, teamwork, laughter, and unforgettable memories, making it one of the most memorable days of the trip.
