Sweden Day 1 – Bredsand, Enköping: Morning Trails, Cultural Exchange & First Impressions of Swedish Precision

The day started off early for some of us, with a pleasant morning run in the chilly winds of Bredsand. We left at 7, ran along the lake and up the hills, which had a really serene trail. We were back for breakfast by 8:30. After some theplas and coffee, we met up with Kerstin, Ellanor and Marlin for a morning hike. We walked past beautiful pine forests, a lot of pretty flowers, and ended up at the Bredsand boating club. At the lakeside seating, we stopped to have some fika. Kerstin briefed us of everything we had on schedule during our time in Enkoping.

After coming back to the cottages, we sat together and got our UL bus passes activated for the week, which we immediately made use of to go to the coop. We shopped for groceries, explored the surroundings a little and made our way back home by 4:00 PM. After lunch, we decided to prepare a presentation on India, which we plan on demonstrating tomorrow in front of our Swedish peers.

After finishing all our work for the day, we decided to relax and spend some time playing around the lake. We played some basketball, some football and had a lovely time watching the sunset. We prepared dinner, chicken with mashed potatoes and Dal makhani with Aloo ki sabzi for those who wanted vegetarian.

Our learning outcomes of the day :
The buses are really accurate and arrive at the bus stop at the given scheduled time.
Vehicles are really respectful of pedestrians and are mindful of zebra crossings.
