Today was packed from start to finish. We began at school, reflecting on the previous day’s UF Gala before enjoying a fika break with classic Swedish cinnamon buns. Then came a fun, thought-provoking entrepreneurship activity that sparked great conversations.
Midday brought a special celebration—Tulip’s birthday! We enjoyed rich chocolate cake, wished her in both Swedish and English, and took a short break to relax.
In the afternoon, the Swedish first graders (our 11th-grade equivalent) led us on an impressive guided tour of Enköping. We visited major landmarks like Viking runestones, Johan Petter Johansson’s statue, Dream Park, and the town’s beautiful church. They made history come alive in a way that was actually fun.
Later, we tried ice skating—a first for many. There were laughs, slips, and near-falls… until Tulip took a bad fall and had to head to the ER for stitches. Not the ending she hoped for on her birthday, but she handled it like a champ.
We wrapped up the day with a cozy spaghetti dinner at the cottages, checking in on Tulip and reflecting on a day that was full of adventure, surprises, and unforgettable memories.
