Our first day at Nacka Strand Gymnasium welcomed us with open arms and curious minds. We sat in on a law class, diving into legal concepts alongside Swedish students and getting a feel for the classroom atmosphere in a new country. It was equal parts familiar and different—structured yet relaxed, with discussions that sparked interest (and maybe a few future lawyers).
After lunch, the school took us to Skansen, the open-air museum and zoo, where we walked through history and wildlife all in one place. We wandered past old Swedish farmhouses, spotted reindeer and lemurs, and soaked in the unique blend of culture and nature. As the day came to a close, we found ourselves craving something closer to home—so we headed to an Indian restaurant in Stockholm, curious to see how our comfort food translated abroad. The verdict? Butter chicken still hits, even in Swedish.
